Product Description

Coace® W500

Coace® W500 is a glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) modified polyolefin elastomer with a high grafting rate, designed for use as a toughener, compatibilizer, and adhesive in various polymer applications. This product appears as a translucent or white material, with a density of 0.873 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 1-4 g/10min (measured at 190°C with a 2.16 kg load). Its ultra-high GMA content ensures excellent compatibility and bonding strength, enhancing mechanical properties and performance in challenging conditions.

 

Specific Applications

• Toughener for Polyester and Fire Retardant Polyester Compounds
  Coace® W500 is highly effective as a toughening agent for polyester compounds such as PET, PBT, and their fire-retardant versions (PET/FR, PBT/FR), improving impact resistance and durability.

• Compatibilizer for Polyolefin and Polyester Alloys
  Coace® W500 acts as a compatibilizer between polyolefins and polyesters, improving the bonding and blend strength of these materials in alloy systems.

• Adhesive for Laminate Structures
  This product can also be used as an adhesive in laminate structures, providing strong adhesion and enhancing the overall mechanical properties of multi-layer systems.
