Maleic Anhydride Compatibilizers and Impact Modifiers for PA6 and PA66

Coace® W1C-1 is a maleic anhydride polyolefin with special formula treatment.
Strength, wear resistance, and chemical stability are well known properties of polyamides, most especially of PA6 and PA66. But compatibilizers and impact modifiers can help to further improve their performance. Both of these purposes are served by the specialized additive maleic anhydride polyolefin, which also increases the general toughness and processability of PA6 and PA66.
The graft copolymer comprising maleic anhydride and a polyolefin backbone that makes up our W1C-1. Flexible and robust, the polyolefin backbone adds reactive anhydride groups that can form covalent connections with the amide groups of PA6 and PA66.
Functional Mechanism: Interfacial adhesion is increased by a compatibilized blend produced by the anhydride groups of MAPO reacting with the amine-ends of PA6 and PA66. The polyolefin phase dispersion is improved by this reaction, which raises impact strength and performance generally significantly.

4. Outstanding Compatibility: Impact modifiers guarantee a uniform dispersion and constant mechanical characteristics throughout the finished product by exhibiting outstanding compatibility with PA6 and PA66.
5. Multiple Processing Conditions: MAPO supports a large variety of processing conditions to suit different product geometries and dimensional specifications.
6. Morphology: Better mechanical characteristics and a more homogeneous material are the results of MAPO encouraging a fine dispersion of the modifier phase inside the polyamide matrix.
7. Mechanical Strength: MAPO adds a balance of toughness and rigidity by significantly increasing tensile strength, impact resistance, and elongation at break.
8. Thermal Properties: For demanding applications, the upgraded polymer blends show improved thermal stability and a wider processing temperature range.
