Coace® W1L-A - Maleic Anhydride Functionalized Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
Coace® W1L-A is a high-performance maleic anhydride functionalized linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), specifically designed for use as a coupling agent in a variety of industrial applications. With a high grafting rate of maleic anhydride, this product excels in enhancing bonding strength, compatibility, and mechanical properties of polyethylene-based compounds.
This granular product, which appears white or light yellow, has a density of 0.92 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 0.5-2.0 g/10min at 190°C under a 2.16 kg load, ensuring excellent processability and versatility across various manufacturing processes.
Specific Applications
- Coupling Agent for Polyethylene-Based Compounds
Coace® W1L-A is highly effective as a coupling agent for polyethylene-based compounds such as low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cable compounds and wood-plastic composites (WPC). It significantly improves the compatibility, dispersion, and mechanical performance of these materials.
- Adhesion Enhancer in Coextrusion Processes
The high maleic anhydride content in Coace® W1L-A enhances the adhesion strength in coextrusion processes between polyethylene or ethylene copolymers and a variety of other materials, including polyamides, EVOH, and more. It can also be diluted with LLDPE or LDPE to modify flexibility and performance.
