Coace® KS-05 is a random styrene-acrylonitrile-glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer.
Glycidyl methacrylate terpolymers, specifically random styrene-acrylonitrile-glycidyl methacrylate (SAN-GMA) terpolymers, are good PLA alloy compatibilizers. The unusual mixture of styrene, acrylonitrile, and glycidyl methacrylate improves compatibility, mechanical characteristics, thermal stability, and processability. The versatility, environmental benefits, cost-effectiveness, and customizability of SAN-GMA terpolymers make them an excellent complement to the PLA material range.

Characteristic


1. Random Terpolymer Structure.: The SAN-GMA terpolymer is made up of styrene, acrylonitrile, and glycidyl methacrylate that are dispersed randomly along the polymer chain. This random distribution enables diverse interactions with various polymers, making it an efficient compatibilizer for PLA alloys.
2. Reactive Epoxy Groups: The glycidyl methacrylate component adds reactive epoxy groups to the terpolymer.
