High Content Reactive Groups Compatibilizers for PET/PO Blends

W5AS is an ethylene copolymer that has been treated with epoxy and has a high reactive group content.
A high amount of reactive groups able to make covalent connections with PET and PO is produced by the Epoxy Modified Ethylene Copolymer, a specialized polymer that incorporates epoxy groups into an ethylene copolymer backbone. The core of our compatibilizer's capacity to increase the general characteristics of PET/PO blends, lower phase separation, and improve interfacial adhesion is this reactive functionality.

Characteristic

High Reactive Group Content: The EMEC has a high density of epoxy groups, which are very reactive and easily establish chemical interactions with the hydrocarbon chains of PO and the ester groups of PET, therefore enhancing interfacial compatibility considerably.

Strong interfacial binding formed by the epoxy groups in our compatibilizer lowers microphase separation and enhances blend homogeneity by efficiently bridging the gap between PET and PO.

Greater Mechanical Properties: Our EMEC gives a strong material with many uses by significantly increasing tensile strength, elongation at break, and impact resistance when used in PET/PO blends.

Enhanced Morphology: Our compatibilizer helps to improve the overall performance of the material by enabling a more homogeneous morphology by a finer dispersion of the dispersed phase within the PET/PO blend.
