Coace® W1C-B is a maleic anhydride polyolefin with special formula treatment.
The use of maleic anhydride polyolefin as compatibilizers for polyamide and polypropylene, together with particular formula treatment, constitutes a substantial development in polymer composite technology. These compatibilizers increase not only the mechanical qualities of PA/PP blends, but also their thermal stability, chemical resistance, and processing ability. Characteristic

1. Chemical Structure and Special Formula Treatment.
The main feature of these compatibilizers is the grafting of maleic anhydride onto polyolefin backbones. Maleic anhydride grafting adds polar anhydride groups to polyolefin chains, allowing them to interact with polyamide's polar amide groups. The specific formula treatment of these compatibilizers improves their reactivity and stability, resulting in effective and robust bonding between PA and PP during processing.

2. Physical Properties:
Enhanced Compatibility: The maleic anhydride groups react with the polyamide chains, generating strong covalent bonds that considerably improve PA-PP compatibility. This produces a more uniform blend with improved mechanical qualities.

3. Thermal Stability: The specific formula treatment ensures that the compatibilizers remain functional and structurally intact at high processing temperatures, which is critical for both PA and PP.
