Coace® W1L-2 is a maleic anhydride functionalized polyethylene with high grafting rate. It is in granule form.
Widely employed in many sectors, polyethylene is reasonably priced and highly processable. Its non-polar character, however, usually results in poor adhesion with polar fillers and reinforcements, therefore restricting its use in composite materials. This is addressed by the introduction of a maleic anhydride functionalized polyethylene coupling agent and bonding strengthener, which improves compatibility and interfacial bonding, therefore producing exceptional polymer blends.
Granule shape of our maleic anhydride functionalized polyelene makes handling and integration into current manufacturing techniques simple. This product is intended to chemically interact with polyethylene and other materials using a high grafting rate, therefore acting as a bridge strengthening the interface and enhancing the general composite qualities.

Application

Typical Application

1. To be used as coupling agent for polyethylene based compounds, like LSZH cable compounds, WPC compounds,etc. 
2. To be used as bonding strength in coextrusion processes between polyethylene or ethylene copolymers and different materials, like polyamides, EVOH, etc. It is can be diluted by LLDPE, or LDPE.
3. To be used as a impact modifiers for polyamide conditions.
