Product Description

Anti-PID Additive for Enhancing Photovoltaic EVA Film Performance

COACE's main products are compatibilizers, tougheners and functional additives, which are used in: modified plastics, wood-plastic profiles, low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant cables, PP extruded sheets, PE extruded sheets, and anti-corrosion pipes Coatings, hot melt adhesives, photovoltaic film additives and other fields, among which special products such as nylon ultra-low temperature toughener, polyester compatible toughener, alloy compatibilizer have reached the domestic advanced level.


RM2320 is a glycidyl methacrylate grafted polymer having an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer matrix and a white translucent granular appearance. The epoxy group functionalized anti-PID additive, consisting of a glycidyl methacrylate grafted polymer within an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer matrix, provides a technologically sophisticated solution to improve PV EVA film performance. By successfully minimizing PID, increasing electric field distribution, and boosting moisture barrier qualities, the additive considerably improves PV module performance, longevity, and reliability. Its compatibility, processability, and broad variety of applications make it an important component in the PV sector, resulting in enhanced energy generation, improved system efficiency, and long-term growth in solar energy installations.

Characteristic


GMA Functionalization: The additive's epoxy group functionalization assures compatibility with the EVA matrix while also allowing chemical interactions with sodium ions, which are a major contributor in PID incidence.
EVA Copolymer Matrix: The EVA copolymer matrix serves as a solid and flexible foundation for the additive, enabling for homogeneous dispersion and integration into the PV EVA film structure.

The epoxy group functionalized anti-PID additive improves PV EVA film performance.
Sodium Ion Sequestration: The GMA functionalization allows the additive to effectively sequester sodium ions, preventing them from migrating to the PV EVA film's surface. This prevents the creation of high-resistance leakage channels and reduces PID.
 Improved Electric Field Distribution: The additive's incorporation with the EVA copolymer matrix improves electric field distribution over the PV EVA film. This reduces voltage variations, stabilizes electrical performance, and improves system efficiency.

Moisture Barrier Enhancement: The combination of GMA and EVA improves the PV EVA film's moisture barrier qualities. The anti-PID ingredient reduces water intrusion, which reduces the circumstances required for PID to occur, especially in high-humidity situations.

Compatibility and Processability: The additive's compatibility with the EVA matrix allows for easy integration during the PV module manufacturing process. It has good processability features while maintaining the mechanical properties of the resultant film.
