Highly Active PBT PET Toughening Agent Polyester Alloy Compatibilizer

COACE's W510 is a grafted product containing glycidyl methacrylate functional groups. The polyolefin elastomer is used as the base material. It has high reactivity, low residue, and a white to white translucent granular appearance.It is both a polyester toughening agent and a polyester alloy

Designed painstakingly to increase the interfacial adhesion and general toughness of polyester alloys, the highly active PBT PET toughening agent is a novel polymeric substance. Incorporating GMA functional groups helps this toughening agent create a strong chemical link with the polyester matrix, therefore improving the mechanical integrity of the alloy.
The polyolefin elastomer at the core of this toughening agent is well-known for its flexibility and fit with a wide spectrum of polymers. By introducing a new degree of reactivity through the grafting of GMA functional groups onto this elastomer backbone, covalent connections with the ester groups existing in PBT and PET can be formed. This special chemistry guarantees that the toughening agent not only mixes perfectly with the polyester matrix but also greatly increases the resistance of the alloy to impact and thermal stress.
