Coace® W1A-5 is a maleic anhydride modified polyolefin elastomer recognized for its high grafting rate and low glass transition temperature. This elastomer appears as white granules with a density of 0.89 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 0.3-1.0 g/10min (measured at 190°C with a 2.16 kg load), showcasing its excellent processability. Its high maleic anhydride content enhances compatibility and functionality for various industrial applications.

 

Specific Applications

1. Impact Modifier for Polyamides:
Coace® W1A-5 is widely used as an impact modifier for nylon compounds such as PA6, PA66, and polyamide-based fire-retardant compounds, improving impact resistance.

2. Compatibilizer for Polyamide-Polyolefin Blends:
The elastomer acts as a compatibilizer, enhancing compatibility and mechanical stability between polyamides (e.g., PA6, PA66) and polyolefins such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE).

3. Other Industrial Applications:
This product is suitable for diverse applications requiring improved compatibility and toughness in polymer-based systems.
